I often here people surrounding me say "it's the destiny" or "god's will" reflecting on a situation or an incident that has occurred. And it always gets me thinking. I automatically attempt to evaluate the situation or the incident on the basis of the possibility of prevention or avoidance.
I can't say that I believe in destiny entirely. Don't interpret me wrongly I don't doubt its existence. However I wouldn't rely on it completely either. Destiny in my opinion exists to some degree but we also create it ourselves to some extent. I believe signs are sent out to us but we ignore them. Those signs are there for us to react but instead we tend to ignore them rather than respond to them.
So the question is raised. Coincidence or fate? I would classify it as a coincidental fate and combine it to form one concept. The terms in my interpretation wouldn't divide but rather cooperate and work in conjunction to explain a concept. It could be quite puzzling. In order to explain the complexity in regards to such topic some would recommend an extensive research, readings and where possible even experimentation. I would leave it to the individual to judge from own experience and from personal perspective and their own intuition.
I personally have witnessed a few situations where I stopped and actually thought thoroughly about what happened. Things at times seem surreal and way to complicated for a human mind to explore. I would consider this more of a belief in God's existence and that it happened as a result of His will. Destiny is probably the general term used by majority. For some believers it would fall under the God's giving.
Sometimes we would use the concept of destiny to give us relief in perceiving things that happen to us. At times we overcome some things by thinking they were meant to be and we didn't stand a chance of preventing it. I guess it only makes us feel better about the whole situation. And there's nothing bad about it. It all comes down to individual perceptions and different ways people interpret the incidences.
Therefore when justifying destiny or debating whether fate or coincidence there really isn't a clear and obvious explanation. Rather a deep and comprehensive study requiring thinking, observing and exploring. Or what else we could be oblivious to the obvious however the denial factor could also be a blockade. Nevertheless, it doesn't hurt to continue to search for answers. It's a mind adventure triggering and unleashing the urge for solving the never ending puzzle. Which sometimes is a fun experience and at other times too much to handle. It all has its time. Just like we all do!
