The Book of Joel is short, only three short chapters, but God has great promises for good and bad concerning Jerusalem. "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance." Joel 2:32. "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more." Joel 3:14-17.

In Luke 21:24 Jesus prophesied about Jerusalem and when he will return, saying, "and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentile, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." The time of the Gentiles will be fulfilled when they realize they are to follow the whole Bible and judge by the Torah and Gospel as was told to the prophets Muhammad, Jesus, and all God's prophets. Then God will be our God and we will be His people and Jerusalem will not be a tourist destination, it will be the place to go to fulfill the commands of God and learn His ways.

Ezekiel 36:1-6 speaks against the neighbors of Israel that eat her land up. God continues in Ezekiel 36:7-12, "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; I have lifted up Mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to My people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and you shall be tilled and sown: And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be built: And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and you shall know that I am the LORD. Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even My people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and you shall be their inheritance, and you shall no more henceforth bereave them of men."

God does not call for the division of any part of Israel; when Israel's neighbors or enemies decide to honor God's word, He will bring them into their own land flowing with milk and honey and they shall have honor with the rest of the seed of Abraham who obey the word of the Most High God.
