The promises of the land of Israel come with a requirement that they be faithful to God's word. This is why there is a conflict now; and why we debate "Should Jerusalem be Split Between the Israelis and Palestinians?" Israel has forsaken her God and chosen commerce, tourism, and the gods of exaltation and riches to be their supply; and they have chosen other nations to be their protectors. God always stirred up an enemy when they did this. Now the god of tourism is enticing both sides to riches.
The way is prepared for peace; it is clearly written in the Qur'an. The primary message of the Qur'an is to follow the whole Bible. The prophet Muhammad is a prophet to the Christians, Jews who were, as now, following only part of the Bible. Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY word out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4. That was what Muhammad was sent to reinforce. Qur'an, Ahmad. Numbers: 5:68, 69; 42:14-16; 2:136; 3:85; 5:45-51; 6:155, 156; and( 7:158, 159 in older Qur'an is follow (Isa-Jesus) the immaculate one you find written in the Torah and Gospels with them..)
In Isaiah1:18-28 (which the Qur'an confirmed) God says, "Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land: But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it. How is the faithful city become an harlot! It was full of judgment: righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers. Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water: Thy princes are rebellious and companions of thieves: every one loves gifts, and follows after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither does the cause of the widow come unto them. Therefore says the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease Me of Mine adversaries, and avenge Me of Mine enemies: And I will turn My hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin: And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counselors as at the beginning: afterward you shall be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness. And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed."
God looks over His word to perform it. The Book of Joel is short, only three short chapters, but God has great promises for good and bad concerning Jerusalem. "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance." Joel 2:32. "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more." Joel 3:14-17.
In Luke 21:24 Jesus prophesied about Jerusalem and when he will return, saying, "and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentile, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." The time of the Gentiles will be fulfilled when they realize they are to follow the whole Bible and judge by the Torah and Gospel as was told to the prophets Muhammad, Jesus, and all God's prophets. Then God will be our God and we will be His people and Jerusalem will not be a tourist destination, it will be the place to go to fulfill the commands of God and learn His ways.
Ezekiel 36:1-6 speaks against the neighbors of Israel that eat her land up. God continues in Ezekiel 36:7-12, "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; I have lifted up Mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to My people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and you shall be tilled and sown: And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be built: And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and you shall know that I am the LORD. Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even My people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and you shall be their inheritance, and you shall no more henceforth bereave them of men."
God does not call for the division of any part of Israel; when Israel's neighbors or enemies decide to honor God's word, He will bring them into their own land flowing with milk and honey and they shall have honor with the rest of the seed of Abraham who obey the word of the Most High God.
