I was born in East Java, Indonesia. My father was an active Navy at that time and my mother was just a house wife. When I was 3 years and 2 months old, and my brother was 7 months old, my mother passed away, so both of us, I and my brother never knew how she looked like. We just saw her face from her photogrpahs.
My father was very busy with his duties in navy, so my grandmother from my mother side took care of us. She was very kind person and very good in cooking. She had inspired me. I wanted to be like her who could cook well for my family. It becomes reality now. My family really enjoy the food that I always cook.
After around 2 years of my mother's passed away, my father married again to a beautiful young woman. Because she was too young and my father often left us (because of his duties), she cheated with other man and she also could not handle how took care of us properly. From those reasons, my father made a decision to divorce her. Their marriage was not longer than 1.5 year. Finally my grandmother took care of us back again. She loved us so much.
After around 4-5 years, my father married again to another woman who had given us very hard time. Although she was not a mother who we wished and neither an ideal wife, but my father, I and my brother gave the respect to her. From this marriage, I and my brother have 2 sisters. Because of how superior and dominan she was, I and my brother didn't have close relationship with her and both of my sisters. She also changed my father caracters but he still loved us.
Although my father had done a big mistake in marrying her, we never complained. We as christians believe that our life are in GOD hand. If He has given her to us as a part of our family, we believe God has great plans in our life, and it is. One thing that we can learn from our father is about the decipline and hard work to reach our goals. He has inspired me to be a perfect person although I know there is no perfect person in the world, but at least he has taught me a very valuable things that I needed to do in my life to be a very good person. I thanked to God for giving him to be my father in my life. As there is no perfect person, it means there is no perfect father too.
Through many years of the difficult times, I and my brother became so close each other. When I felt sad and needed someone to listen my sharing, I just went to him and I could talked to him in many hours. He was a great blessing my life.
I also had some close friends to talk to. They
