Dairy Dash, a spin-off of the popular online game Diner Dash, takes place on the farm. A comic strip style introduction sets the scene for some down home fun on the farm. Uncle is swamped on his busy farm. The busy family, played by you, takes time out of equally busy electronic filled city lives and heads out to the farm to lend a hand.

Gameplay 4/5 - Dairy Dash is easy to learn AND easy to play. This quick paced game possesses straightforward controls and clearly defined objectives. Step by step tutorials begin each level and introduce new elements of gameplay. This game would be appropriate and entertaining for a variety of ages, from preteens and slightly younger all the way up. Nothing more difficult than a "click, click, click" of the mouse. Mini games mixed up game play and added enjoyable new scoring goals to aim for while still retaining the unfussiness of the base game.

Graphics - 3/5 - Graphics are cutesy in Dairy Dash. Scary glowing eyes of wolves and goats angrily pawing the ground begging for a milking are cartoon cute. The graphics aren't fancy but they are clear and easy to see. There is no mistaking which animal is which.

Sounds - 3/5 - The unobtrusive musical score provided pleasant background noise besides the clucking of chickens, baaing of sheep, and barking of Lucky, the farm dog. Dairy Dash contains unexceptional music but the farm sounds make up for the lack of an interesting backdrop.

Creativity - 3/5 - In Dairy Dash, animals irritated or peaceful facial expressions are a charming touch. Feeding, milking, and watering animals and crops makes them happy and content and prone to produce more, providing the farmer with extra income and more work. It was a good choice to add mini games as well as switch up the farms to prevent boredom or becoming too "in the zone." It has been done before, remember Diner Dash?, but the farming twists gave it the extra nudge to "average."

Innovation 2/5 - This game will not blow you over with stunning graphics or intense storyline but Dairy Dash does stand on its own for simple, addicting gameplay. Games like this have been done before (just look at its sister copy, Diner Dash) but the location of the farm and all the extras that go with it are a nice variation.

OVERALL SCORING - 3/5 - Dairy Dash is simplistic and fun. Combined with mediocre music, unremarkable graphics, and lack of innovation it is impossible to award Dairy Dash with higher marks. However, for what it is, it is entertaining on its own and could be worthwhile to take out every now and again. The simplicity lures in the game player and challenges them to obtain the "expert" level scoring. If you are hungry for a new location in the "Dash" series, then go ahead, spend a day on the farm in Dairy Dash.
