Ballsy Brittney's at it again ! Well far be it for me to speculate but I think bubblicous Brit shaved her head to stay "stuff you and you and you " to a viperous and unforgiving media.
I think Brit is simply fab . She is a one off a real star and from what we know a simple home loving country gal at heart.
Who can forget the teen queen in her blonde bangs and school girl pose or later the saucy seducer in her come hither video for Toxic ? "Brits" (my nickname) oozes star quality she simply has it . There's something quite mesmerising about watching her and prior to her recent fall from grace she has always captured the world stage in the talent and glamour stakes. But the toll of being consistently numero uno must have taken its toll, the worry of wondering whether she'll be "papped" looking less than perfect , the constant malicous gossip alleging this and that and everything and anything in between probably just made her snap.
"Brits" , I don't think was in search of attention, or "crying out for help", she was just taking a very obvious albeit radical stand against the constant media pressure she had to face during her emotional decline.
When celebrities are under the spotlight everything they do or say is fed to the media like an intravenous drip and the distinction betwen fact and fantasy becomes distinctly blurred. By removing all of her hair Ms. Spears was freeing herself from the over exposed image she found herself caught up in emotionally and on celluloid .
There's something wonderfully refreshing about "Britts" she has real sass and courage to face the onslaught of the media in the way that she has. It takes a gusty gal to walk through the media frenzy and try to come out intact on the other side . Of course she like everyone else in the world has made mistakes and I am sure there are probably many things she regrets doing or perhaps would have done differently if given the chance to turn the tide but haven't we all? It's just that most of us are safe from the glare of the photographer's cruel lens.
How desparate you must feel trapped by the papparazi and hounded by the press even if you just want to go for an inocuous drive or a bite to eat it literally becomes a news event . How can that type of media scrutiny not make you a little crazy now and again? Just because Britts shaved her head doesn't mean she lost the plot from another perspective it could be viewed on one level as the ultimate way to regain control of herself and her freedom : a cleansing of mind and purging of soul.
To have your entire life parodied by the press and be subject to a blow by blow account of your most intimate moments is really ghoulish and presents a huge challenge for anyone with a media profile. The press are always printing half truths and sound bites and sometimes just out and out lies so if it all gets too much shave your head !
The most amusing aspect to all of this aside from the fact that we're writing on it is that hair or no hair Brittney rocks !
