I want to add my voice to the many who have an opinion on how to Save Money on Gas while turning our sunglasses a nice rosy hue of pink.

* Start waking up earlier. Giving more hours to your day and you can get up before dawn so no one will see you siphoning gas from your friendly neighbors.
*Carpool - make sure its not with neighbors you "borrowed" gas from or you may be hitchhiking to work.
*Slip and fall at Exxon and sue them for a lifetime of free gas.
* Marry an Arab oil and gas heir or heiress. Don't worry about the veiled look - its sexy - very mysterious. And isn't going to an exotic country on your bucket list?
* Buy an off the grid home and work from home.
*Get off your fat...couch...and walk to the corner grocery store, dust off your bike and ride to work.
We all have felt it. The price of gas is affecting us all in many ways. For some, its affecting our choices for work if we need to commute. For some, it is affecting our dinner table and what we eat.
Perhaps by re-framing we can see the big picture in a different way. A more optimistic view. We can follow the example of those for whom this gas "crisis" has led to a healthier lifestyle. Walking more. Biking perhaps. Networking with others to share rides to stores, work and friends. Finding ways to save money and the environment at the same time. From changing the type of light bulbs we use, choosing Energy Star appliance, even buying the wind or finding other ways to live off the grid.
There's nothing we can do. Our whining won't change anything. If it did, our household would have gas coming from our garden hose instead of water. Instead, maybe we can take our talk to community meetings and find ways in which we can all work together to get through this time efficiently. We can even make it a dinnertime topic.
In what ways can your families organize work, school, errands, activities to make the most efficient use of gas. Is there any activity you can sacrifice for now? Can you use Net Flix, Blockbuster online or Spiritual Cinema Circle instead? Would your office consider letting you telecommute on some days? Many schools now offer online courses.
Perhaps there's a lesson here, a reason behind the seeming madness. Can you find it? And if so, can you find it in yourself to share it with your community?
