In all honesty i would say that there are numerous opportunities that would derive from working in both a small business or a large corporation. This all really depends on where the person is most happy and what they're goals really are. I dare say that striving in a small business as an employee will win you a CEO spot; however a small business owner can rise in the business world and turn a small business into a large one.
When compiling your hopes and dreams it is best in all honesty to think about your well being and happiness as well as your comfort, rather than input high materialistic dreams that would indeed cost the rest of your life to achieve.
When working as an employee for a large organisation, there is no doubt that the job security is some-what minimal. Unfortunately we see the new generation of thinking being forced into minds, this thinking is briefly faster, better and cheaper. I also assume that people work in a large organisation because of the opportunities that arise; I also assume that they have the ambition to move forward. Unfortunately the new way of thinking does not permit you to be able to stay put. The active natures and attitudes of young managerial staff have a high rate in conflict with the natural attitude of older workers, thus plans for change always see more conflict than they should which produces fear and anger.
When working for or owning a small business you would indeed have slightly more time on your hands, in a relaxed environment which is contributing minimal stress and anxiety. If you are an employee and are earning a decent wage as well as happy with you position then its a large possibility that you would be reluctant to seek new employment, however people who are more ambition, hungry and active usually would be suited to a more active environment.
There is one aspect of the new age thinking that I do believe is right, and that is that there is a place for everyone. the best people are suited to the best positions and it is in hope that people nowadays do understand that they should consider their happiness rather than a quick or imposable fix.
So rather than bias one way or another I must say that if you would prefer a situation then it is your right to seek it and obtain it, not just as a citizen but as a human being. and every human being deserves happiness one way or another. Consider your options and needs, your morals and ethics, then there is a sure possibility that you will find exactly what your looking for
