Home improvement: Landscaping your property

LANDSCAPING YOUR PROPERTY

Landscaping is the art of arranging and organizing space of a home or a building in order to create a sense of satisfaction or to create a required sense of feeling or achieve a required standard associated with certain personality or to define one's personality. Landscaping adds property's re-sale value, aligns the objectives of the property designer to match personality associated with a given site. Good landscaping is a way of underlining one's personality and dignity.

The landscaping process helps to outline the terrain of the site, the required materials, the expenses to be incurred, long term benefits like future need to set up a home recreational facilities like a home bar, restaurant to cater for guests in the event the owner needs to set up a lodging premise, parking space, styles needed to give the building or property a sense of belonging according to standards set for the site.

The property owner needs to consult a licensed landscape designer and should provide the designer with a list of the projects that need be set up in the property.

The future plans of the home owner helps the landscape designer to:
(a) Arrange and make use of the available space to meet future desires of the home owner.
(b) Create a visual relation between the design of the property and the site and propose the best style based on terrain.
(c) Propose trees that needs be planted to match the proposed landscape design.

Landscape design for a property is based on the following considerations

(a) Base plan of the property
(b) The essential needs of the property owner
(c) Alignment of the property to the site
(d) Materials required
(e) Plants and flower gardens to be created
(f) Accessories to install
(g) Cost of landscape design

The landscape designer looks into the property plan and strategizes on security needs of the property. The property designer uses terrain to evaluate all possible weak areas that need redress and conceal areas of interests that may compromise security of the property while retaining the objectives of the property owner.
