Perez Hilton is by far one of the most controversial gossip reporters out there on the world wide web. He says what he thinks and doesn't hold back, not always rare in the world of gossip, but his flamboyant personality adds a certain flare that people can't get enough of. His outlandish opinions and commentaries of most celebrities in the world today is an interesting view on why we worship these stars in the first place. He is constantly ragging on Britney, Lindsay, Miley, Vanessa, and any other female superstar that can be found, and males don't get any less of that heat. Zacsquisha anyone? Does he truly hate these celebs? Perhaps. Or maybe it's possible that he chooses to tear apart and make fun of those he gossips about for the very reason of causing controversy, to show a more chaotic side to that of the gossip world, something he is more than unforgiving of.

Has Mr. Hilton bashed celebrities I love? He certainly has many, many times. But my sense of humor has allowed me to enjoy the fact that Perez is not afraid to point out that not all celebrities are flawless, that people who are most often seen as perfect are definitely not. This man intrigues me for the very fact that he leaves no celebrity untouched, even musicians and authors are sometimes featured. His reports on everyone under the sun make his rantings seem more that of someone with unlimited taste. He never singles out one celeb in particular, everyone gets a taste of Perez Hilton's unabashed opinions.

The one thing about Mr. Hilton that I hope never changes is his ability to constantly bring a glamorous brand of commentary, his own personality and his own words always the center of everything. His encouraging sense of letting go and being funny is something I feel to be admired. We may not always agree with what he says but his open way of saying it is a wonderful show of our right to free speech. His energetic, and most often dazzling, personality is something that is very hard to forget. And quite notably something people don't want to.

Love him or hate him Perez Hilton will not go away. He challenges the internet world of gossip by reporting the way he does. Those with a sense of humor will laugh along with his silly drawings and personal nicknames of those he comments on and those who don't will leave his website with yet another hit. Not everyone will like Perez, but no one can ignore his presence.
