The Job being a President of a large nation such as ours is a very stressful job and in this era of terrorism it has even become more stressful. The health and age of anyone undertaking such a postion should be questionable to the general public. We need some who is healthy and fit for this position.
Presidential candidates are required to disclose their health records, when any one apply for a job such as the position to become the President their health record becomes very important. This job is very stressful ,and they need to be physically fit as well as mentally fit. A person who is unhealthy and is selected for this position may be unable to serve out their full term in office. Also, they may not be able to perform their duties under pressure when a crisis occurs. The initial stage of any employment before you are offered a job is to make sure that the candidates are physical fit and is able to take the challenge.
We do not need a candidate who will be out of office sick more than he is on the job. A candidate who is unable to take international trips because, his doctor states he is unable to fly because of health concerns; one who becomes a burden to tax payers by paying large medical bills. An elected President need to be physical fit and should be able to function under pressure at all times. If you are unhealthy you cannot function properly, that person will be more focusing on their problems and not that of the country. In order to make the right choices on the fitness and the health and wellness of a President. The first step is to have a health record of any candidate who is entering the process of becoming the President. Good health is one of the qualifications at suceeding in this job. Since the public has to vote for the candidate who is running for this office I think they have the right to know who are they voting for and what risk is involved.
The Presidential candidates any health issues that did exist in the past and is most likely to re-occur this should be an interest to voters. Is this person right for the job as President? If a candidate has any health issues I think they should step aside and let another person run for office they are not only wasting their time but those people of their constituents. The health of all Presidents in the past has always been a major concern as how well their will be able to perform in the Office of Presidency. If any candidate has a major health issue that can jeopardize other people lives who depends on the President to make decisions, especially National Security decision. I think that is a very selfish reason to proceed to the position of becoming the President. Our lives depend daily on the decisions that each President makes, we do not need a president who is unfit that at any moment would collapse in a foreign affairs meeting before media coverage and the entire world.
A Vice President should never have to take control of a position of Presidency, unless and undetermine illness occurs that was not a chronic condition. The older you are as a candidate most likely you are to become ill when under stressful conditions such as making decisons in crisis and we have seen crisis after crisis in the present century.
