Given up in this evil world.
People getting too close to a broke girl.
Fear sets in with a slight of hand;
Comfort from her body is completely banned.
Listening to her words is too hard for them to do.
Which leaves her feelings silently blue.
Is there anywhere for her to turn
Or will her soul eternally burn?

Last night I dreamed that I was dead
I dreamed that it was over
There was no torment in my heart
No sorrow lingered
Prescription drugs on tap,
More addictive than crack
Drugs flowing freely into the minds of people whose thought processes

When life's kicked you in the crutch,
When the world seems ranged against you
And to breathe

There you are in the mirror again
Looking for hope and even a friend
The blemishes you find that no one else sees
You cry in
A shadow flees through the night
Swift and stealthy
A demon
with glowing red eyes
She stops
in front of a bistro
Moves in,
closing
