A Trip To The Seashore
Lets grab the buckets & the spades
Get the swimsuits, towels too,
We're heading for the sea-side
Just the children, me & you.
Noisy seagulls fly in the sky overhead
We can smell the hot-dogs, nearby,
Grabbing one before we hit the beach
Then we take in the sun, on towels we lie.
The kids pestering you to go in the sea
The waves are calm & the tide is in,
Searching rock-pools for crabs & fish
The sea breeze causing goose-bumps on our skin.
Collecting, we walk along the many miles of sand
Lots of shells of assorted size,
Making sand-castles, it looks pretty good
Then the wind blows the sand into our eyes.
As the day comes finally to an end
The holiday-makers leave the beach,
And we wearily pack our stuff away
We head home, with a candy-floss each!

SUMMER, LATE
Across the long horizon flow the tan dunes,
Sprinkled heavily with tall grasses waving at the green amongst them,
