There is a sunset
Over the blue horizon
At which I am staring.
The sky is pink and blue
With very few clouds,
Nothing but pure awe.
On the withered pier I stand,
Staring blankly at this wonder
And looking time in the face.
The stars sparkle and shine
So profoundly in the night,
Like little fireflies in water.
The lighthouse beacon
Lights the way so brightly
For the lost and alone.
The moon prevents darkness
From entering this Heaven
And provides peace for all.
As I gaze into the night,
The name of this place
Becomes crystal clear.
I inhale deeply and sigh
As the words escape me.
This land shall now be called:
Heaven On Earth.
