Poetry: Father's Day

Daddy do you remember
The day that I was born
You took me in your arms forever
With a smile upon your face
Creating a special bond
With that first embrace

Daddy do you remember
My first day of school
Smiling at me on the bus
Backpack strapped upon my back
How I was just a little tot
That day surely never forgot

Daddy do you remember
My graduation day
You and mom stood smiling
As I walked across the stage
Oh how i grew up so fast
But still our bond forever last

Daddy do you remember
Walking me down the aisle
You gave your little girl away
With a tear in your eye
Another memory too I say
With a love that will never fray

Daddy do you remember
Im always your first child
Today is your special day papa
A day to share our memories
To remember times shared true
Im spending Father's Day with you

    A Father's Lesson about God

His voice did not frighten us,

We might glimpse a flare of temper,
    But

And I wondered if each had it's own story to tell
I wondered if it would be a sad one
