MY TOP PERSONAL DIET SECRETS.

I am a successful dieter and because I know so many diet tricks, people I am with never even realise I am dieting. I seem to eat more than most people but I still lose weight. Here are my best tips:

TIP 1 - THROW AWAY YOUR SCALES

Scales in your home are such a distraction. If you have a bad day and you jump on the scales to test the damage, then you may find the scales at that moment do not reflect any gain. So you may want to eat more. Conversely you may find you do actually put on weight and you may feel so miserable that you eat more. So if you can afford it, try to get weighed once a week at a club where you can obtain the support of a leader and friends around you that are in the same position. Our weight naturally ebbs and flows due to fluid changes and it is really not a good idea to get weighed more frequently than this.

TIP 2 - TRICK YOUR BODY INTO THINKING IT HAS EATEN MORE THAN IT HAS.

In other words try to fill your plate with foods that are more packed with water. For instance, most vegetables trick your body into thinking it has eaten more. By all means have some protein such as salmon or tuna or chicken that is low-fat but also make sure that your plate is mainly filled with a variety of fresh vegetables. You will be amazed how this tricks your body.

TIP 3 - MAKE 'LOW-CALORIE' SOUPS AND SALADS AND SNACKS WHEN YOU FEEL SO HUNGRY THAT YOU WANT TO BREAK YOUR DIET.

If you are dieting you will have moments when you really do feel starving and it is still a few hours from dinner. You may be tempted to eat something sweet but this will just make you feel miserable and you will want to eat more. stock up on low-fat dips such as hummus and salsa. Always have plenty of fresh salad ingrediaents in your fridge. When you have hunger pangs then eat some sliced carrot and cucumber with hummus or make a large salad and pour some tasty balsamic dressing no it. Avoid fatty dressings. Or have a few rice-cakes with a teaspoon of jam. Or learn how to cook some gorgeous low-fat soups. Many internet sites such as www.weightwatchers.com have many recipes for low-fat soups. These soups are particularly beneficial just before a meal as then you tend to eat less during the actual meal itself.

TIP 4 - TRACK WHAT YOU EAT AND LEARN ABOUT CALORIES AND FAT CONTENT OF FOODS.

Again joining a diet club really helps you to understand that you can eat more of some foods than others. There is no need to feel deprived. Some foods such as chips or roast potatoes
