As a trainer of self-development during my free time, I have a favourite question about being a pioneer or follower that I always ask to my trainees. This question is important to get to know my trainees perception about these issues. Most of my trainees preferred to be a follower than a pioneer by using risk as a reason, and only few of the trainees prefer to be a pioneer by having many reasons such as for create new things, to make something different or to achive their dreams.

No matter what the reasons are, people love to be a follower because being a follower is safety and only has to follow others or procedures that already exist. The main issues are safety, less risks and if possible are gaining more. Another reason of being a follower is inability to receive harsh words or comments, being sneered or mocked and admit any losses.

Some of them will stay in the safety area without any efforts to improve their current situation while others accept as followers but during the time have efforts to get more improvements.

Yes, there are people who love to face with challenges by creating something, some people love to feel safe and do not want to take any risks, and the others are people who want to be stable before improve their current situation to achieve more.

I do believe everyone in this entire world have an idea which sometimes seem silly. It becomes silly because the idea is new and no one has tried to create it. At this point, you have a right to make a choice, make the idea comes true or let it goes with the wind and waits others do it.

I, myself loves to be a pioneer than a follower and I do not like to follow others only by reason of safety, maybe because I love challenges and also love to make differences. But, I am not a pure pioneer because I learn from others success and failure stories. To have full preparation is the way to avoid any failures or even it happens, we able to minimize it.

Being someone who chooses a way that only few people have walked through sometimes needs a big heart and strong feeling. Many harsh words will come as many people sneered at you. But, if you believe, have a commitment and never give up, then you prove to the world that you have choose a right way for you. Many success stories about pioneers around the world, whether about business or other fields. The pioneer has changed the world and brought something new for the others.
