When you enter the Internet Marketing game, you will quickly find that there is more to it than just marketing. In fact, the term 'Internet Marketing' has taken on several new and varied meanings over the past ten years.

Today, an Internet Marketer must not only market products and/or services, he or she must also conduct market research, become the senior copywriter in his or her company, become a graphical artist and web designer, become a professional writer, secretary, accountant, product developer, and so much more.

With that said, there are some basic rules that you must follow in order to be successful in the Internet Marketing arena, and to effectively wear all of those various Internet Marketing hats. Here are eight basic rules for Internet Marketing:

Use the Wash, Rinse, and Repeat mentality.

4. Be productive. It's easy to lose track of time when your work requires the use of the Internet. Internet Marketing entails so many things, and networking is a big part of it. We can easily get lost in those networking endeavors, to the point where we aren't getting any other work done. Make a schedule. Have a plan. Set time limits. Stay focused.

5. Narrow down your niche. Do you know how big the Internet is? Nobody does. It's bigger than anyone can really imagine. It has no boundaries, and therefore, your niche must have boundaries. Otherwise, you are marketing to the entire world in an atmosphere that is immeasurable, which you
