Sanity: A Spur of the Moment Reaction
As in existentialist theory
We fulfill universal needs
And none of us are better
Than the acts of our last deeds
Mother Theresa or psychopath
Or evil or devine
A push could send it either way
We're all dancing on a line
The things we do, the thoughts we think
When inside our four walls
If the world could see me then
I'd have no friends at all
And when driving on the beltway
I let out a primal scream
And escape into an inner cave
From some long forgotten dream
I handle life's great pressures
And very rarely take a fall
But when something silly happens
I slam my fist into the wall
So lunatic or sane man
When I'm there I'll let you know
Will this straw break the camel's back
Or will I keep my self control?
