I Wonder

The numbers, blinking on the screen, I wonder what to say,
Oh? Sorry to interrupt,
I always call at a bad time these days,
So sad, maybe tomorrow?

Sometimes I wonder, what it'd be like to talk for hours on end,
Listening to your sweet voice go on and on!
Picturing your smile, your sparkling eyes!
And maybe someday it will happen,
But for now I wish on that star!

I understand you distance, I'd be worried too
But I would still like an apology,
I swear I would never embarrass you!
Still, it's all fine; just flash a smile once in a while!

Sometimes, I wonder, what it'd be like to stand with you,
Your smooth skin under my hand
Seeing your smile, your sparkling eyes so bright!
And maybe someday it will happen,
But for now I wish on that star!

Sometimes I wonder why it's only in my darkest hour,
When I'm all alone, when the point's been lost,
You come like a new spring flower
And we can finally share some life!

Sometimes, I wonder, what it'd be like to be with you!
To say you were mine and no one else's,
Making you smile, and your eyes shine so bright!
And maybe someday it will happen,
But for now I wish on that star!

Lying all alone tonight again, I wonder, what are you doing now?
But I know I'd love to be there with you,
To watch you in your show and take your bow!
But in reality, I am just alone!
