The stars,
serving as Messengers;
small Beacons light a trail
from Me to You.
Far too often
I become lost within the thought
that space is a vacuum
and You and I
and only You and I
are trapped somewhere
within the void surrounding us.

But there is a Light
which Shines within the
Darkness.
there is a Hope
in each conspiratorial wink
the celestial sky administers.
Calling to Mind
that You and I
behold the same Heavens
hanging high above us.
That You and I
might now live in shadows,
but there is yet a Light.

The fickle Moon,
which waxes and wanes
as capricious as the tides
it influences,
but does not rule the night
we reside within.
Instead, I look to the Stars,
asking them to shine for you
in their everlasting Splendor.

Reminding You there is a Woman
who longs to be
as close as night
to you, my Dear.
And reminding Me there is a Man
who yet keeps watch
over my Soul
somewhere beyond the sights
my eyes behold.
