How much should you invest in a 401(k)?

How Much Should You Invest In Your 40lk plan? As much as you can afford. The better question is: When will you start your 40lk Plan Americas' best kept secret to the millions of working people who have no retirement plan. Whether you are 20 years old just graduating from college, or returning from the military, or are age 40-55 take advantage of this great 40lk opportunity, to build your retirement account into the the millions when you start early, and keep funding, it until you retire. Let's say, you just started work, and your income is $30,000.00 a year why not invest l0% a week in your 40lk, all of the l0% will be non-taxable, and if your employer matches your investment l00% you will save the first year a total of: $6,000.00 this is a great start on your retirement. Now if you get yearly returns of of 6% on your 40lk in the first year, and you retire in 30 year, that first year you automatically saved $6,000.00 and if you got 6% returns for your money, in 30 years the money you saved and invested for only one year-would be worth a total of over $45,000.00. This is called the miracle of compounding, small amounts of money early in your life, will build to millions over the years. You cannot afford not the join your 40lk plan today, even if it meant taking a part time job after work or on the weekends to begin your investment and life savings program through your 40lk plan at work. Cut down your weekly budget to start the 40lk. When you change jobs, never cash your 40lk balance out- you will have to pay income taxes on it. You will also lose the compounding. Rather set up a roll over IRA(Individual Retirement Account) at a bank, or a mutual fund company, you can find their email, website on the internet. Contribute as much as possible into you 40lk weekly, for the rest of your working life, and if you can only affort 6%-9% of your salary to the 40lk -then do it, today. You will be happy you did it, and keep investing now for the rest of your life.
