This is a really fun way to eat a taco! It's also great idea for kiddie parties and sleepovers! Heck, this is also great for the starving college student. I survived a whole semester on this!
Ingredients:
1 lb of ground beef
2 tbs vegetable oil
1 packet taco seasoning tomato, chopped
1/2 head of lettuce, shredded
1 onion, chopped
1 package shredded cheese (cheddar, Mexican blend...whatever floats your boat)
sour cream
picante sauce or your favorite salsa
individual-sized or fun-sized bags of Doritos (or you can substitute any corn chips you like)
Directions:
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add in oil. Add in the ground beef, and brown. Break up the meat with a wooden spoon as it starts to brown up in the pan. Drain off oil, and return to pan.
Add in taco seasoning according to the directions on the packet.
Crush up the sealed bag of chips with hands. Turn the bag of chips to its side, long side down. Carefully, cut an inch into the bag (the long side), and then, cut it straight to the opposite end of the bag. This will create a bowl that we be eating the taco out of.
Add in some ground beef to the chips, a little tomato, a little onion, a little lettuce, a little cheese, a little picante sauce, and top off with a dallop of sour cream. Be careful not to fill up the bag too full otherwise it will be difficult to mix the ingredients.
Mix the ingredients up with a fork and enjoy!
