I conspired against my faith
Secretly I marched and reversed
Reminiscence of my stammering self
Secluded in cheap paper wrap

Revealing shells and plants

Squeaking bones beneath her dress
She won her consolation prize
In the safe twilight of my devotion
Irrefutable I withstand
