Does religion divide or segregate people

I have come to the conclusion it is just the way one sees religion that defines if the individual is segregating or not.

People all view religion differently. In the world there is no right or wrong just merely opinions that are expressed by individuals. Many people see the good in religion, and take from that, and there is the other extreme like the terrorist who sees the bad in religion and takes from that as well. This is viewed as the the dark side of religion, and can also be seen as evil, even thought the individual thinks that he or she is doing a service to humanity and to his/her religion. Brainwashing techniques are usually employed for the use of terrorists.

Religion has been known to commit many evils and sins in the past, and therefore has been given quite a bad name especially in first world countries like the United kingdom where most people just do not want to believe in anything, because they are so fed up of the Christian church telling them what to do.  There is just no respect left anymore.

Religion does create barriers, and can do so even up to this day. Many people as well prefer to marry within the same religion ;least this poses a problem later on. Some say this is a 'sensitive' topic, but I disagree. Religion is man-made like anything  else in the world. There is nothing that is sensitive about a system of beliefs. Man must search for the truth, and stop believing in a set of dogmas that are outdated, and cannot help us in modern times. The Kingdom of God lies within each and every one of us, and it is time that most people ''woke up and smelt the coffee''.

Religion has been known to instigate wars, famine, mass genocide and hatred. It has been given quite a bad name, and this is aggrivated by many people calling religion a sensitive topic. This however is the negative side of religion. Religion does have a positive side. Many religions now see a need for diversity, and they tend to incorporate all cultures into their community.

Many organisations tell a lot of lies as well. They say that if you do not follow or believe in their ways; you will go to hell. This is not true; they should be stopped from brainwashing people, and adding to the already alarming rates of terrorism in the world.
