With prices sky rocketing all over we all need to economize, which is easier said than done. By going to a local crafter's store and getting something to make with your kids, you save on expenses and get to spend time enjoying the process of making something with your kids. With father's day coming up you, you can use these fun and interactive ideas for you kids to make and enjoy.
First always find something your kids would enjoy and would not be to difficult for them to do; as far as kids go they want to be entertained and it must not be a chore. I find painting as one of the best tools to give them to do. It's messy which always rate a big high five on the kid's scale and can be incorporated in various items. It all depends on what you're up for.
Photo frames is easy to produce and can be obtained at your local craft stores with paint, brushes and glue, by giving each kid his own to decorate with paint and various items such as glitter and beads, they will be able so spent a good few hours on the project. Then handing them each a photo of them selves to put in the frame. Make sure the picture is the right size, if not please cut them smaller for the younger kids. Dad will be extra proud to put their special gift on the desk.
Sticking with paint, you can take a white T-shirt with permanent maker, let the kiddies draw pictures on the shirt, then let them paint the pictures with material based paint, maybe even do some writing in permanent maker (example: Worlds best DAD/The Best Dad ever). From there they can decorate with glitter and make dad a special one of a kind shirt he can wear.
Special daddy soap bars is a great way to entertain the kids. Yes, this one needs real supervision and tons of help. But it's a lot of fun. You can get soap to melt at your local craft stores as well as some fragrances and cute items to add to the special bars some shells, beads, pine cone chips. Or you can go at it the easy way and take a bar of soap, grate it in to a pot and add the various items the kids need for decoration. Be sure to have some molds to use for molding the special soap bars. Once it's hardened it will be the perfect gift for dad.
Don't forget to have the children make a card to accompany there gifts for their dad. With these easy to do gift ideas what dad would not be proud to have these special treasures to remind him of the love his and his family shares.
