Have you ever fallen in front of a person and what was your reaction?

Where were you in the beginning of February of the year 2007? Me? Well, during lunch that day of eighth grade, I found myself starting the longest chain of an injury I never thought possible.

Picture it: Lunch Time. I sat my tray down at a table with my friends. I remember it was the Friday before the Super Bowl and we all were trying to petition for a two-hour delay on Monday. Our home team, the Colts, were playing! I decided to get up and walk over to one table and talk to people and tell them of this plan that this kid started. I stand up, and start to walk over. My feet got themselves intertwined in chairs and I started to lose my balance. Before I knew it, I had flung myself pretty far and I went sliding into another table! I look up at three of my friends sitting at our table, jaws dropped. I burst out laughing. One of the guys at the table I flew into playfully said, "Geez trying to fly?" It was THE most amusing thing anyone could ever encounter in their life! My friends still sat there in shock and then finally burst out laughing as I still lay on the floor. One of them said, "Wow, I didn't think you'd go that far. I mean, you started to fly, but it was like you were never going to stop." It was great. The best thing, I wasn't at all embarrassed. I've become more "into" getting people to laugh. This one created a real chuckle.

Finally, I stand up. My foot felt like it had this HUGE cramp in it, but I figured it would pass soon. It did not. To make a long story short, I sprained it, so they thought. The Urgent Care center gave me eight to twelve months for it to fully heal.

Eight months came around and my mom decided to take me to a Podiatrist. Here we found out that it was much worse and over the course of those eight months, my big toe bone and my second toe bone had started to separate, quite badly. I had also torn a ligament and chipped a fleck off of my bone. Flabbergasted they asked me again how I managed to have such an injury. My doctor replied, "Wow. We usually find this kind of injury in skiing and car accidents, not everyday walking instances." That made me feel so much better haha.

Six months, and several braces, went by. We still could not get my bones together. Here we are now. The final choice: surgery. I got two screws put in my foot and sixteen stitches from that. During the surgery they found out that the tendon and all the tissue had been shredded. Along with that, my big toe bone had started to rise. After a two-hour process, everything was cleaned out; screws tightly into place.

Therefore, this is definitely one of the most hilarious injuries I've ever had. My reaction would still totally be cracking up with amusement; even when I'm in so much pain!
