The Dark Knight vs. Spidey Sense

When one is asked what one considers an extremely easy question; and the answer comes bursting out of his/her lips almost immediately, one is very certain of the answer.

This is one such question for me. The answer burst forth from my lips the very second that I saw the question on the web-page: Batman!

This answer may be wholly emotional on my part; I am in love with this mysterious man of the night, this dark knight, this Batman and always have been since I can remember. As a young child I had the Batmobile toy car, the Batman and Robin figures, wanted so much to be either Batgirl or the Catwoman (she was so pretty). And yes, there is a very special appeal for many girls, both young and old to this human super-hero.

I still feel that Batman could totally kick old Spidey's butt, however! So what if Spiderman can go from place to place with the aid of those webs, and so what that his spider sense is awesome in its power, he may hear the hit coming, and he may even be able to avoid a whole lot of them, but I don't think he could evade all of them.

Spiderman is strong, but Batman is stronger. Spiderman is fast, but Batman can hold his own. Spiderman is self-taught and has trained well, but Batman has trained with the best and he knows some great tricks.

The toys: Spiderman pretty much relies on his webs and his very fast reflexes to get him out of most jams, with great success, I might add. But my friend Batman has an exclusive line of the very best gadgetry to aid him during his fights. These gadgets have really added to the fun and to the winning outcome of many of the Batman's best battles.

The Batarang is one of my all-time favorites. It is a weapon that comes back to the hero after doing some extensive damage to the enemy!

Batcall, the power to summon a horde of bats to attack an enemy, has got to be one of the coolest tools ever invented! Too bad old Spiderman cannot summon any poisonous arachnids to aid him, how awesome would that be?

The cape: This is a pretty powerful piece of armor that many do not even consider to be an aid to the Dark Knight. The cape can deflect heat and even become a parachute when needed.

His body armor can withstand bullets, knives, explosions and more. So what if Catwoman was able to get close enough to damage him with her claws? That was romance, folks!

Gas pellets, a handy tool when battling an enemy, and one which Spiderman has little defense against. His suit is very cool, but not smoke-proof!

Batman is the better fighter, the bigger athlete, the cooler of the two superhero's altogether. I apologize if this offends anyone, especially all you Marvel geeks, but DC just has the better heroes, guys!

Thank you to both DC and Marvel comics for their story lines and the great heroes for both little girls and little boys. We still love them well into adulthood, and I am happy to have had them in my life!
