The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of a conscience, is the little cricket that was in the hit Disney movie Pinocchio. He was just a small conscience, not even a inch tall, but he played a very important role in Pinocchio's life by always being that voice in his head that told him when he might want to think about what he does before he does it. Except he wasn't just a voice he was a cricket. In lots of movies now a days you usually see a conscience as a good and bad thing. You know the devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other shoulder. Our conscience is there for us whether we like it or not, and we should be grateful. Not everyone has a conscience, some people would probably kill for that little voice that might have kept them from doing that thing that has cost them some if not all of their life.

Our conscience kicks in usually when we are about to do something, or make a decision and we are not to sure about it. Its that voice inside that says hey do you know what you are doing? And most of the time if our conscience stops us it's because we are unsure and we haven't thought what we are about to do all the way through. Sometimes when people make decisions it would be real nice to know the outcome first, unfortunately that is not how the world works. The world also doesn't care if you meant to do what you did. Or that you didn't mean for thing to end up the way hey did.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a pocket size manual that told us every choice we will be faced with in life? And better yet a pocket size manual that told us the right decision to make for each of those choices. And it would be real nice if we had a little angel siting on the "right" side of our shoulder to tell us what we should stop and think about and what to do and not to do. Well that is how we can think of our conscience, but smaller than pocket size it is programed into our brain. Then no one even has to know when your making conscience decisions.

A conscience definitely helps us when making decisions. When your conscience kicks in just remember that it is only your conscience no one else has yours and that it is programmed especially for you and what is right for you through your belief and morals. Listen to that little voice the same way you would listen to that manual in your pocket, or the way you would listen to that little angel sitting on your shoulder. Everything that is programmed in our body is there for a reason. If our conscience is not there to help us, or at least make us think then what is it there for?
