Conflict of interest
The words swarm a constant threat,
Too many deadlines to be met,
Yet still you invade my mind,
I've come to see you're one of a kind.
Revision takes too much time,
And I'd rather suck a lime,
Or rather talk to you all night,
Perhaps my mock results will give me a fright?!
Staring at the computer screen,
When I can't see you I feel so mean,
But alas you are the reason,
I can't concentrate for your teasin'!
I resolve to read and revise,
Until you tell me that it's really not as wise,
As to see you tonight,
And suddenly the future looks ever so bright...
My heart is in constant strife with my brain,
Because you know you keep me sane,
And I know the books will wait for now!
