I guess you could say I fought,
With every single muscle in my body,
Shutting the doors and windows,
Hiding behind a determined stance.
I never considered you'd seep in,
Through every single crack into my soul,
Until I've forgotten that this;
This thing that's happening, can't happen to me.
Still, a slow lazy smile rests on my lips,
Unconsciously your name floats in my head,
You've made me whole without knowing it,
I can feel you despite the distance.
When we're together I feel no other,
The future spans before me,
I've tripped and fallen head-over-heels,
Leaving me knowing; I'll have to speak those three words.
