When basic rules get broken in order to better your options, it sure is great, isn't it? Today's flooring options for carpet are sure to get your mind working in creative visualization. Picturing what could be a better aesthetically can be a shameless hobby.
My home has a genuine need of new flooring after six years of solid use and abuse on our standard carpet. Knowing that it requires full replacement, I thought it would be best to put down something that would last longer than the average carpet, look great and still be able to withhold the wear and tear of a family of five living in small quarters.
My search began and I must confess that I spent many days weighing the options. No more basic beige carpet, unless that is what you want, of course! There is this new product that allows you to build the exact size area rug or an entire room with the brilliant concept of placing individual carpet tiles down.
The best part is that it is eco-friendly! You can lift up a carpet tile, clean it, and put it back. Should you not be able to clean it at your sink, you simply send it back to the manufacturer to be recycled and get a new one! Yes, you read that right. That means that every single one of your carpet tiles that you buy from Flor today, let's say after years of enjoyment can be completely recycled!
Flor got it right by offering the consumer flexibility of options and the ever-important need of recycling their product. As a former property manager who grew ill of seeing carpet rolls thrown in the trash bin every six months, Flor offers a fabulous solution.
Usually eco-friendly conjures images of beige or muted cream. Not with www.flor.com! There are modern, fun, and durable. After viewing their catalogue, my new dilemma is choosing which option is best to install for my townhouse.
My personal favorites include: Between the Lines in Citron; Checkered Past in Chocolate-Pecan; and Home Movies in Pistachios. My heart skipped a beat when I looked at Straight and Narrow in Gold.
Once you request and have your own catalogue, or visit their website, you will discover just how wonderful this carpet tile concept is. It was love at first sight for me and I will be buying my own just as soon as I make up my mind which one is best for my family.
You can be sure that my purchase will be for "high volume traffic" only.
Can you imagine: no more carpet strip tacks, no more icky carpet pads, skipping huge labor cost, or having to throw out the whole carpet because of a stain in one prominent spot in your living room. With Flor, you can do it completely by yourself!
Design what you need, install it with ease, and replace the carpet tile instead of the whole thing. Don't worry, if the thought of designing your own flooring pattern scares you, they provide wonderful samples and provide live help to properly guide you through the whole process.
Finally, someone broke the rules for the better and we have colorful, patterned, or plain options!
