So Apple finally releases a new iPhone. I only have one thing to say about that, WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?
All hail the latest and greatest Apple creation. I can't wait to get my hands on one of those babies. It's got a load of new features including, what Apple is flaunting the most, 3G Internet! Not only is it 2.8 times faster then the previous model but it kicks ass when pitted against the other smart phones out there. The only problem I forecast with this is the fact that 3G internet is not available everywhere. I mean they are releasing it in 22 different countries and whoo hoo if you have the latest iPhone if the area where you love has the old 2.5G service. Plus you know how expensive the data charges are?
Also included in the brand spanking new iPhone is a much longer battery life,(YES!) A new operating system that supports GPS tracking, and most importantly a shiny new price tag! Only $200 bucks for the 8 gig or $300 for the 16 gig.
Jobs is set to take the world by storm with this release. There is talk that the iPhone could be in direct competition with blackberry! Now that's ambitious. If he somehow manages to pull that one off I'm not sure what there is that he can't do.
So get ready for it and you'd best go buy that tent now for the anticipated wait outside in the rain to be among the first the get the new iPhone.
Cheers!
Now for my bit of personal banter...
I live in both the US and China, and when I'm in China I really with I had an iPhone. When is Apple gonna open up the Chinese market. Doesn't Jobs know how BIG a market there is for iPhones here? People pay double what the US price is to get a cracked iPhone here in China and yet all Apple cares about is not sharing their revenue. They gotta learn that in China eventually someone will find a way to copy anything. Of course if they released the 3G in China there is no 3G network in place. In most places it is still the 2.5G network or even the old 2G network. You know one thing I like about China, at least when it comes to phones, is that there are no plans that lock you in or anything like that. You have the choice of putting money on your phone periodically or subscribing to a non binding plan that is mostly used for those who use their phone a lot (eg. businessmen). If at any time you want to change, or stop paying simply stop making calls and switch. That simple. No silly 2 year contracts, not to mention it's a heck of a lot cheaper here. So anyways, just my 2 cents...
