Wooden happiness
smelling of childhood elves
and tennis racquets
Baby eyes filled with Baby love-
adored through the ages.
A reluctant shudder
at watery love-
just as pure.
Gentle anger,
caressing a tickled heart.
Pizza heaven-
sticky, yummy, fun.
The smell of laughter-
oven hot.
A spill of mischief on
new only-once-worn-clothes..
Red heart turned orange.
Sour maturity.
Pepsi chills and plasticky chairs,
the colours of the world
mocking childhood memories.
"Once upon a time,
you saved me from myself"
"Well now you are old enough
to do it yourself"
*the damnation of growing age*

A chimpanzee?
