How about having a Father's Day brunch in Dad's honor this year? It is such a great idea to celebrate such a terrific man with a brunch. Because Dad is loved by all, this must be an amazing brunch. There are several important aspects to throwing Dad a memorable brunch. They include Dad (most important, of course!), budget, location, invitations, guests, food, decorations and entertainment.

Obviously, Dad is the guest of honor. Make his brunch as special for him as possible. Consider your father's interests and hobbies. Make that special interest or hobby the theme of the brunch. Dad puts the George Foreman grill to shame as the ultimate grilling machine? Make it an outdoor breakfast grill - many fruits and vegetables taste wonderful grilled. The possibilities can be as distinctive as your dad is and as never-ending as your love for him.

Go down the list accordingly, making those all-important budgeting decisions.

Your back-up plan is of chief importance, especially when thinking of holding the brunch outside. Consider all the logistics of the locations you are thinking about for the party. Is there enough space for all the guests? Sometimes it is best to secure the location before putting together a guest list - to know how many people you to invite. Ample room for parking? What about the restrooms? Is it easily accessible for your guests who may have special needs? Is it suitable for children? Can we decorate, is so what are the limitations? If you are renting the location, be sure to read the contract. Ask lots of questions if you don't understand it or have some go along with you and help with the legal issues.

Invitations to the Father's Day brunch may be as simple as a phone call, if the brunch is quite informal. Engraved invitations are also a possibility. Many computer programs offer simple ways to create your own invitations - choose the
