replaced. For now they go unnoticed unless you are up close and looking for them.

Experiencing this fall early in the riding indoctrination of my VTX, I believe will be of much benefit to me and may in fact be an early blessing from the Gods for me to notably:

- respect any bike at all times but to definitely be in control of the primary controls that harness its beastly power,

- appreciate the benefit of proper riding attire and a DOT approved helmet (my helmet and bike jacket definitely protected me from receiving serious injuries from the impact of the fall onto the asphalt pavement)
- always as a rider be aware of my surroundings and the terrain for a margin of safety in the event of an unanticipated riding mishap,
- avoid carrying sharp objects, phones and cameras in my pant pockets (my cell phone became inoperable and my house key actually twisted from the impact of landing on each of them during the fall although without further injury to me) and
- know one's bike before one goes (check tire pressure and condition, fluids, chassis, controls and working electrical components).

In the future, as the road rises up to me, I plan to be prepared by employing the street strategies and precautions I am continuing to hone for a safe and enjoyable ride.

By-the-way, my godson is not so happy with me lately. He still does not have a bike or a riding permit.
