The question of what is the best flower for summer weddings quickly brought a line out of an old country music song to my mind. That line is; 'Roses are red, violets are blue,' and it gave me a quick hint to the answer.
First of all the part that says violets are blue make me think about songs that are called blues. That form of music generally rotates around bad low thoughts of life like the somgs called 'Sunday Morning Blues,' and 'Monday Morning Coming Down.'
Because of all my weekend nights spent in town listening to wild country music as I partied playing pool I know full well of any song reflecting some bad incidant. Therefore I sure don't want any of that emotional aditude to sink into my honey-moon. I don't care if it's the thirteenth one. There's no way a newly wed husband should get his new wife thinking he's probably passed out in some alley or too hungover to whow any love to her. That's just like what happened in an old Hank Williams song where the guy had to sleep out in the dog house after fighting with his wife.
Yes, right. It's even a better point to be made on ones weding is that you aren't one of them old timers that spend most of their off-time hanging out some where getting drunk.
The negative aspect sure souldn't have any conection with newly weds. That basically means I wouldn't give my bride violets after we say 'I do,' and become officially married. The main object of giving away some flowers to your bride is to impress her with the heavyness of your love and to let her know you are really looking forward to every aniversary night. That you plan on reliving those nights just like the way you are living your honeymoon.
The reason the phrase 'Roses are red' gives me the strongist lead is that I think that color represents my blood as it flows through my heart. With that concept in mind it's easy to see how any flower that has a close emotional conection to the heart is the best choice. That's because when the couple finally gets married after living together for some six years the wedding shows how their heart has generated enough love to make the couple tie the knot instead of just sleeping together to satisfy their lust.
That last sentance inadvertantly brought up a subject I hadn't pre-thought out. Since a loving couple is hitching together to reinforce their heart's desire that love must be made solid as much as possible so the young wife will know her new husband is strongly enough in love with her to make it last.
Since 'My love will last forever' is the main point to be made on your honey-moon the flower to give is one that re-inforces it. I would go ahead and give my new wife a rose plant. That way after we get to our new home she could take care of it and the flowers would keep coming back year after year.
