What do I look for in your eyes?
What do I hope or expect to find?
Answers, solutions, maybemaybe not.
A quiet moment, harbored away
A peaceful sanctuary, where I want to stay
For a brief moment in time, it's safe to be
Where my heart feels no trouble
Restraint is set free.
But the moment is stolen
Too short to last
Surrender these feelings
And put them to rest.
Permission declined, my heart is denied
Another day will pass, and so shall it be.
