Tomb of comfort
silent and dark.
Sleep comes to rescue me.
Captured, I surrender
Peace turns into disarray.
My fists are tight
drained of all their color.
Unrefined wisdom devours me
make haste for I grow weary.
I speak your name aloud
Angel, please defend me.

MANY SHADES OF GREY
Another morning breaks
And I'm still awake.
The night spent pacing
And racing dots around with my eyes.
As the cool, sultry
Hand of dark, closes
Around my body,
My restless thoughts roam
Few and far between.
The last fleeting images
Insomnia
Although my eyes are open it is darkness that I see.
A void of light or color again tonight for me.
The only sound
The television is watching me again
I am too tired to think but too awake to sleep
I'd be better off turning into a coyote
