Poetry: Insomnia

by Danita Jolly

Created on: June 11, 2008

Tomb of comfort
silent and dark.
Sleep comes to rescue me.

Captured, I surrender
Peace turns into disarray.

My fists are tight
drained of all their color.

Unrefined wisdom devours me
make haste for I grow weary.

I speak your name aloud
Angel, please defend me.
