Poetry: Hallucinations

light begins to meander into the room slowly.

shadows begin to form in the corners of my eyes.

the hallucinations begin.

auditory at first, then visual.

i see the things that i used to be.

i see the things that i want to be.

i am all these things, and more.

all that it is going to take is for you to look at this.

this that i have pulled together

from the mud and the clay that surround my feet,

soil my shoes and pant legs..

you are not clay.
you are not refuse.
you are not ever going to read this anyway..
