Looking good has nothing to do with money!
Being stylish is all about portraying the best in you, whether its your sporty side, your artistic side, or your sophisticated streak..
I have always been a fashion freak and as im not exactly filthy rich, i have to turn to a lot of different ways to look good and feel good
You can save a lot by buying second-hand goods.
First of all, i wait every sunday to go to the Sunday market, looking for bargains... Its like a fashion-mongers dream. You get everything, from scarves, to bags, to tops, to jeans, to furs, to dresses. . Be careful though. Things sometimes look good, hanging up in stalls or on manniquins but are actually baggy, or a size too large. So you have to be extra careful and try to look for things which strike your inner fashion chord at the first glance!
You could try accessorizing your plain or old outfits.
Accessories, like strands of fake stones, or lots of beads can bring an outfit to life. They dont cost much but they make you stand out in a crowd. If you cant find cheap jewellery, you can always make some on your own. Beaded necklaces are the easiest to make. A way to make them look just-out-of-shop-window is to use large beads, like large round pearls which look amazingly beautiful worn in lots of strands..
Vintage is back.
Fish around in the attic for antique clothes, belts, scarves or shoes your grandma or mum used to wear in their teens. They are the new fashion these days. Pair a plain black outfit with a stunning old chic scarf and you'll see the difference.
Shoes matter a lot.
Try to get your hands on a nice pair of gold or black shiny shoes. They can complete any outfit and make you the style queen in three seconds flat.
Be yourself.
Dont copy others, even if they are fashion models. You can adopt certain thigs which enhance your individual style and personality but never try to be like some one because you will lose your own self then!
Highlight your best feature.
If you have a to-die-for-waistline, wear belts. If you have beautiful collarbones, wear low-necks. Make people see the best in you.
Lastly, feel good and be confident.
If you believe you are the most stylish person, you will be the most stylish person! walk with a straight back and be sure to smile. You should believe in your style and yourself...and voila! people will be after you to let them know the secret behind your exclusive style!
