I want to walk,
to just keep walking forever.
Slip off my shoes,
feel the ground beneath my feet.
Because sometimes it's better
to face what's real.
Step in time to the music,
and see where it takes me.
I'm tired of waiting for something that's nothing at all.
Close my eyes,
follow the road.
Hot pavement on bare skin...
it's soothing.
The wind lifts my hair and my spirit.
I'll keep walking,
keep walking all night.
Just whisper to me when it's time,
and I'll be ready.
But for now,
I'll just keep walking.
