Poetry: Unspoken thoughts

by Aesha Munaf

Created on: June 11, 2008

I know you have slept,
in another woman's arms,
my love.
I can smell her in your hair.

I know you let her nuzzle your neck,
like you never let me,
when i snuggle into you
at night..
I can see her crimson mark
on your collarbone.

I know you think she is
exciting,
young,
vibrant.
A change from your dull, old wife.
I can see you glow
as you leave the house
to meet her..

I know you will leave me soon,
my love.
And i understand why..
but I wont say a thing until then.
I can still run my hands through your
hair,
kiss your chest,
hug you tight,
store up enough of you in me,
to last me a lifetime,
before you decide to leave..
