Time to let go
I think about you daily, and wonder where you are,
I know you're up in heaven, another shining star,
Sparkling as you did in life, your heart is solid gold,
Taken from us early, you really weren't that old.
Your suffering has ended, you're breathing easy and free,
I trust all my instincts, but this I wish I could see,
Independent as ever, you can move about with ease,
And I know that you are up there, now forever at peace.
If only I could give you just one more hug and kiss,
You're my best friend as always, and your laughter I will miss,
But I'm sure that you are happy, with the people passed before,
Reunited with your loved ones, and carefree now I'm sure.
It helps to know you're near me, so visit any day,
I know that it's a spirit thing and you won't be able to stay,
Watch over us and keep us safe, your love will keep me strong,
Guide us with your gentle touch and steer us right from wrong.
You left so many loved ones, and those that cared for you,
Missed by all the family and your friends both old and new,
Tears have fallen freely, words of love sincere,
You really were so special, of that there is no fear.
I love you Mum as always, but time to let you go,
The happy times remembered, to cheer me when I'm low,
Your spirit's here beside me, a comfort hug you give,
To help me through the grieving and remember how to live.
