Top brands of men's jeans

Having a 6ft 7 husband means that buying jeans for him is always going to be a challange especially when you have to find ones that are long enough, the correct fit and don't make his legs look like drainpipes.
As my husband won't shop with me I have to guess what will fit and look right as I'm sure I'll be arrested if I keep holding up my jeans against unsuspecting men passing by.

So to the jeans themselves:

For an excellent fit and for anyone over 6ft 2 Debenhams have an excellent range of jeans, Jasper Conran being a particular favourite. They wear well and don't shrink too much when washed however they can be pricey!
Burtons again have excellent ranges at great prices but allow for a little shrinkage when washing them.
Topshop have a good range of jeans in many different styles, colours and fittings however I have found they don't supply very long jeans.
Wrangler are great "working" jeans! They look good and last a long time but obviously the best jeans are a little more expensive however, Wrangler have a such good range they have a good price scale too.
Kangol jeans are fabulous! A pair that were bought 2 years ago still look good and have worn very well. The denim doesn't have much give in them so I would advise if they feel a little tight when trying on unless you're planning on losing weight select the next size up which will also help with any slight shrinkage you may get.
Tesco/Asda/ Supermarket brand jeans amazingly wear well and last quite a long time but do go baggy after a day of wear but they are a bargain and come in many ranges and legnths too!
I have also bought online from shops specifically selling longer jeans but have found them no better in quality but more expensive.

Not an extensive list but places I have at some point dragged my husband round to try jeans on.

Some top points:

Always try your jeans on before buying them even if you have some of the same at home - minor discrepancies in the size can make a big difference.
If you are tall select a jeans that is bootcut at the bottom as straight cut jeans can make you look like a "drainpipe".
If you are well built stick with darker shades of denim and avoid fashions that may draw attention to larger parts e.g. bleaching on the thighs or writing/ motifs on the back.
If you are short in height avoid baggy jeans with no shape that will drown you.
Check stitching and any threads.
