The theory of evolution is about as close to scientific fact as anything else that is taken by most people to be a fact. Gravity is still considered to be a theory, and it is; gravity is not a fact but some of the components of gravity are, and they are called Laws. We do not yet know the total effects, or causes of our own earth's gravity, if there are any other forces at work within or without that have an effect on the obvious visible results which we refer to as gravity.
Then we can move out into space for more examples. There are the forces of gravity within black holes and neutron stars and what result those have upon not only the nearby objects, but the whole fabric of space in general. Then the questions of what - if any effect things like neutrino's and dark matter have on specific or relative gravity. Also, there are two theories of gravity; Newtonian, which is usually referred to as the gravitational forces we live with and can observe everyday, and Einsteinium gravitational theory. This has become known as the theory of relativity.
What that all means is this: science takes repeatable, demonstratable actions/reactions, and calls them Laws. One of Newton's Laws is that An object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force'. This is true, repeatable, and can be demonstrated by the simple act of dropping an orange on the floor as many times as it takes to convince you that it will continue to happen so long as the floor is in place. After more tests are performed to see just how far this action will continue to happen, you can safely say you now have a Law. However that is not the end of what gravity does, so more Laws are written to cover those actions/events, and explanations are given for why these things happen as they do. Now you have a working theory concerning gravity so long as everything within it continues to act according to that theory. If not, a new theory must be written. Because what science does is attempt to explain what is observes or discovers, and make a working theory out of those observations. Having now laid a frame of reference for what a theory is and is not, we can move on to the question of Evolution.
Just because science doesn't take God into consideration, does not mean that scientists do not recognize God for what He is and for what has done, or that there are many good solid Christians within the scientific community. God is not an observable, measurable, testable force within our frame of
