In this debate one hidden fattening piece of salad dressing must be explained because most folk living as atheles or trying to lose fat through a diet don't undrstand carbohydrates.
There are two forms of carbohydrates called high or low and sugar is labeled a low carbohydrate. There are several athletes who depend on high carbohydrates for energy so they don't get too worn out at any time. Many of the people trying to finally loose the fat gained through bad eating habits have learned that sugar causes the food eaten to be turned into fat quicker than it would sugar free.
The main reason this subject can ignite a debate is that most of the people using salad dressing are doing so to add some flavor to what ever slad they serve. That is funny because the choice changes from place to place because of tradition not low fat generation.
I've had to learn all these secreates to get in good enough shape again to ride my old custom motorcycle and save on the cost of gas. My first thought in loosing weight led me to believe lage salads with each meal would help. That even had me fight with myself as to what kind of salad dressing was the best for it.
I had thought Italian salad dressing which had the lowist sugar level would be the right choice.
In the end I have quit using salad dressing to add some flavor to all the vegitables thrown together for bodybuilding. That way the only carbohydrate eaten is the high form through other parts of the meal.
Naturally no person working out can stop chowing down on vegitables like brocollii and onions. In order to make any salad pleasant and healthy one has got to mix it to the form that lets the vegitables taste pleasant, and add a few tastsy ones that are pleasant to whom ever is eating the salad.
In my case I jumped into adding jalapenos a very hot vegitable and garlic slices a very healthy one on its own.
The salad is a very healthy form of nutrition expessionately when no salad dressing is used. THe eater just has to learn to like what ever flavors are included without relying on some fattening help.
In my case I've had to learn how to enjoy green letuce and carrots by them selves because there aren't hot jalapenos and green chilli where ever I chow down. There is just one very good and healty vegitable I can allways count on. That's onions and it is served with dust about ever salad any where.
