Animal rights versus human needs

ANIMALS EXPLOITED

The rights of animals are to have the same humane treatment and protection from exploitation and abuse that are accorded to humans. Congress passed the Animal Welfare Act in 1966 to insure that animals intended for use in research facilities or for exhibition as pets are provided humane care and treatment. The United States fails to enforce this act and greatly ignores animal rights. Animals have a life of their own that is important to them. They play a huge role in the environment. Animals have a right to live on earth just as humans do. No one enters an experiment lab and sees that five billion dollars of tax revenue is given for animal testing every year. Money is the driving factor that allows the abuse of animals in testing facilities. The government does not enforce animal rights laws because of money factors. This is outrageous when this money could feed the homeless, go to charity, or be used as relief for other countries. It is wrong to treat weaker human beings lacking in normal intelligence as tools or renewable resources so why test on animals that have rights?

One humane society reports that nine thousand seven hundred and fifty animals were brought in by animal control in the year two thousand five. These animals are abandoned or strayed. Twenty five animals are murdered every day, thousands every year, and seventy percent of these animals that enter the humane society are euphonized.
Who would win if a human and a lion or a human and a gorilla were put in a cage together? Humans are not superior or inferior to any other kind of species on this earth. Humans are a different kind of species but read the definition in a dictionary of the word animal. Human is listed in the definition.
One hundred and fifteen million animals are experimented on and are killed in laboratories in the United States every year. These experiments include pumping chemicals into animal's stomachs and hacking muscle tissue from dogs. These experiments are painful and torturous. Vivisection is the live dissection of animals often without the use of anesthesia. Animals SHOULD NOT be subjected to testing of medical appliances, drugs, pesticides, chemicals, food additives, or cosmetics. The use of animals in testing situations for the sake of insignificant information shows disrespect of nature and life in general. There is no point when most animal testing appears completely unnecessary when little is revealed and is very expensive to perform.
