We Are Daddy's Little Girls
Our days are filled with play and laughter,
When Daddy comes home it's our sweet ever after.
We may not know just how hard he works
To keep us safe, and clothed and to buy us all those books.
Our faces light up when he opens the door,
We run to greet him to show that he's adored.
We have the best Daddy hands down on that,
He takes the time to laugh and play
Even when he's had a hard day.
We love our Daddy, he's our hero, our provider
He loves our Mommy and stands beside her.
We are Daddy's little girls, and we like it that way
Even when we're all grown up, our hearts won't be far away.
Our Daddy's love is strong and true
We are your little girls and we love you too!
Happy Father's Day!

This poem is for you, dearest dad
Today is father's day but you are not here
You have left us to go to another world
But you
I see you
in my children's laughter
I smell you
in a passing tendril of cigar smoke
I hear you
in the blast of a Sousa march

The day that I was born
You took me in your arms forever
