Esay Channel: Materialism
WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO WORK FOR DONALD TRUMP?
Why in the world would anyone want to work for Donald Trump? Who would allow a shallow and cruel man without substance and character the chance to assess his or her own integrity? Keep in mind, we are talking about a megalomaniac who is responsible for concocting some of the most visually vulgar eyesores that the world has to offer!
Some people would call Donald Trump a successful man. Yes, financially, he is richly supplied; but consider how he actually started. His father had bank loads of money and the elder Trump aided Donald every step of the way. Who would not succeed under such optimum circumstances?
However financially wealthy Trump may be, he is greatly lacking in character. Married three times, he often uses cruel and demeaning language when speaking to or about others. He also openly judges other people's "character" by how expensive their clothes are, the kinds of cars they drive, how much money they have, never focusing on what the very definition of character really is: moral and ethical strength. Who would want to expose him or herself to an evaluation by a mean spirited man who has lived on Easy Street all of his life?
Aspiring entrepreneurs throughout the globe long to work for Donald Trump and it is because they believe that Donald Trump epitomizes success in the United States of America. Hopeful apprentices young and old are willing to submit to Donald Trump's hostile verbal character assassinations just for a small flicker of promise to fuel their burning dreams of accumulation and status. They think that working with someone with so much power and wealth will help them obtain the same things. In actuality, how can someone so self-obsessed like Donald Trump properly help another person grasp the ropes of the financial world, when he is all too taken with himself to begin with when starting such a process? In other words, if it's all about him, then when does it get to be about you? What can you genuinely extract from a person who only wants to brag about his twenty-four carat gold toilet bowl and how many planes he has?
I understand that many people like Donald Trump, but how many people can actually say that they love and respect him? How can someone say such a thing about a man who complains at a charity event that he is not receiving enough attention from the event coordinator? (The Apprentice, Season 2) How could anyone truly love a man who tells vulnerable, impressionable, young people that they're "losers" and "disasters"? How can a man who does not like to shake people's hands for fear of germs be willing to share much of anything? How can those wide-eyed hopefuls respect a man who parades his female companion/wife around like a robotic trophy?
I comprehend that there are those people who admire Donald Trump's financial success; but it is actually more excess than success. The thing is, this level of successful excess comes from living on Easy Street for so long. When your father has money and power, you can have money and power, too. He is a financial success but he has had bank loads of Daddy's help to get there, erecting some of the worst architectural assaults on good taste and doing so with that rotten character and miserable mug of his all along the way. If he is the embodiment of what success is, then I am happy to be a loser any day.
